Your data

The only data that we collect is any information that you provide for the purposes of:

  • Sending you a newsletter
  • Responding to ideas and suggestions
  • Replying to emails

At most we may store your name and email address either on the web server or a separate computer for as long as needed to provide the service that you select or until you ask us to remove your information.

Absolutely no data is knowingly shared by us with any third party.

Survey data

Privacy and security are of high concern to all of us and so we are making big efforts to ensure that your data is safe and secure.

All data will be stored on our own computer server, housed in the UK. Even if you provide a paper copy the data will be entered onto the same server. We shall also have to store any paper copies in a secure location yet to be determined.

All questions in the survey are mandatory, but you can answer not applicable , or prefer not to say, on any of the questions. Your name and most personal information is not required, so that you may remain anonymous. But we do need 3 items of information (age range, sex, whether resident or business) to ensure that we have a balanced set of responses.

For example, if only the over 60s tell us their age range and everyone else says ‘prefer not to say’ we cannot be sure that we are reflecting the views of younger members of the community.

All Beech Hill residents over age 10 and businesses will be invited to join the survey.  Once you tell us that you wish to participate (either through email registering or personal visit) you will be issued with a personal token. This will gain you entry to the survey and ensure that only one survey is completed per person.

Survey data is encrypted so that any malicious person attempting to access the server will not be able to read the data. Registration data is kept separately from survey responses and only the administrator of the site can access this data.

Only committee members will have accessed to the results. Their names are published on this web site. We need to spread the analysis of data among committee members to all this fairly large task to be completed in a reasonable time.
